Learning Objective: 

  1. Explain the term “Disease”.

  2. Identify the different types of diseases on the basis of chronic and infectious

  3. Differentiate the communicable and non communicable diseases.

  4. Describe the main causes and causative agents of the diseases.

  5. Illustrate the different preventive measures to stay away from diseases.



Assessment Needs for students:

  1. Brainstorming on when did fall sick last time and what had happened to you and what might be the reason to fall sick?

  2. Demonstration of two pictures containing a healthy person and unhealthy person. And ask students why they look different.

  3.  Demonstration of  the picture which you prefer? 


   

Teaching Instruction:

  1. Explanation on the main causes of diseases.

  2. Demonstration of the pictures showing signs and symptoms of diseases.

  3. Watching  Youtube videos related to the different types of diseases.

  4. Discussion on the preventive measures of diseases.

  5. Group presentation of the different types of diseases.

  6. Storytelling by students and teachers how they recovered from their last sickness.



Assessments and Evaluation: 

  1. Worksheets

  2. Paper presentation and slide presentation

  3. Prepare an awareness poster against COVID -19.

  4. Self reflection from chapter

  5. Quiz

  6. Oral and written test

  1. TV/ projector to show videos of the different phases of diseases.
